Inspire was created by Jessie Rose to offer tuition for anyone interested in learning and growing through art and creativity.
After a long time of telling parents "I'm sorry, but I can't tutor your child as I'm not trained", It finally dawned on me that – actually what does that mean? Why does that stop me from sharing my knowledge and experience with others?
So now that is what I do. And it is awesome. Through art I am teaching children that it's ok to be themselves, encouraging individual's to develop their creative thinking, grow in confidence and to dream big - and believe anything is possible.
So far the results have been better than I ever imagined and every student has done amazing things!
During Jessie's art classes, students gain technical skills and experience in colour, shading, composition, perspectives, tone, depth, and more.
And perhaps even more importantly - Inspire students are encouraged to develop creative thinking, explore new ideas, push boundaries and learn to express themselves through art and creativity.
Terms are usually 10 weeks and run per local school term dates (term 4 starts on 13th October 2020).
An exhibition is held at the end of each term to showcase students' creations. Classes each last an hour and a half and are held in Jessie's studio rooms at 575 Kamo Road. The Inspire studio is a secure and inspirational space for students to learn and reach their full creative potential.
