From an impromptu visit to Jessie's art studio to buy a couple of kids t-shirts, to having a chat and a tour around the studio. I took on the opportunity to join Jessie's evening class. With Jessie's expertise I was able to produce my first piece of art which brought out so many different emotions during a difficult time, I now feel free again to move forward.

Highly recommend inviting your family and friends to the exhibitions, after speaking and listening to others, I have been inspired to create another piece for the next part of my journey.

Our daughter has been attending jessie rose art classes since 2019 all i can say is its so amazing!! Jessie teaches the kids more than art and it really is just a safe place for kids to go and unwind and talk also talk about anything and everything and at the same time produce an amazing piece of art work.

My 13 year old son really enjoyed the art classes with Jessie. He often commented on how his technique was improving and he was really happy with the artwork he created during the term. He loved the social interactions with the other teens, so this class provided a really rich tapestry of experiences for him. Jessie is not only a very talented artist, she is very kind and has a lot of empathy for the kids. She is fun and engaging and I got the sense that each child felt valued and 'seen' which is something often lacking in teens lives. So thank you Jessie and the amazing Angie, for provided a safe, nourishing , creative space for our tamariki - you guys are Amazing!!
